Due to the Corona virus epidemic, according to the instructions of the Diocese of Helsinki all public Masses are cancelled from 18th of March 2020 onward until further notice.

All Masses in Diaspora (Nummi-Pusula, Karjaa, Hyvinkää, Olari) are cancelled.

St. Mary’s church stays open on weekdays from 9 am till 4 pm for personal prayers.

Holy Masses are celebrated according to the schedule without presence of the faithful. Masses are broadcasted on the Internet: http://www.pyhamaria.fi/?page_id=597925

Father Zenon Strykowski SCJ has returned to Finland after his sabbatical time. He will continue his pastoral work in our parish as a chaplain. We wish him God’s abundant blessing.

This year’s Lenten Collection funds will be used to prevent the marginalization of youth in Pereira, Kolumbia. At the moment, one third of primary school pupils drop out of school and are exposed to drug abuse and delinquency. Through Lenten Collection we can give these youngsters a chance for a better future. You can put your donations into the collection box at the back of the church on your right.

There will be Holy Mass in Urdu on the next Saturday at 3 pm. Mass in Urdu will be celebrated once per month.

We will celebrate the Stations of the Cross in English on Sundays at 5.30 pm.

Donations for Caritas’ this year’s Advent Collection will be used to give Syrian refugees in Jordan necessary medical treatment. Families who have fled war live in poverty and cannot afford to take their children to the hospital or buy them medication. Your donation gives a meaningful Christmas gift – health. We can send our donations directly to the bank account of Caritas or we can put our donations into the collection box at the back of the church on your right.

We will celebrate the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Monday, 9.12. There will be Mass in Finnish at 8 am and 6 pm.

The Holy Mass in Spanish will be celebrated on Thursday, 12.12, in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe.

The Holy Mass in Hungarian will be celebrated on the next Sunday, 15.12, at 4 pm in St. Henry’s cathedral. Confession will start at 3 pm.

There will be a concert of Aava choir on the next Sunday at 8 pm.

Elders and home-bound persons can ask a priest to visit them at home and to bring the Holy Communion. Contact our parish office.

Pope Francis will visit Tallinn on the 25th of September and will celebrate the Holy Mass. St. Henry’s and St. Mary’s parishes arrange a day-trip to Tallinn to take part in the Papal Mass. The trip costs 40 Euros. You must register no later than July 15th. More details here.

We will celebrate the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday. There will be Masses at 8 am and 6 pm.

We will celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday. There will be Mass at 9.30.

Welcome to the pilgrimage to Köyliö – the place of the martyrdom of St. Henry. Walking pilgrimage starts on the 15th of June. The Mass will be celebrated there on the 17th of June. You can travel there also by bus. More information in Fides and on the information board.
