A heartfelt welcome to the ordination of Deacon Martti Savijoki SCJ on Saturday 11th of June 2022 at 11:00 am in our church. The ordination will be conducted by Bishop Emeritus Teemu Sippo SCJ. Welcome also to a reception after the Mass at Seurasaaren Kruunu. If you would like to attend the lunch, please register by 19 May. Father Martti will celebrate his first Mass on Sunday 12th of June 2022 at 10:00 in our church.

The parish council will gather on Wednesday 18.5 after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

There will be Mass in Malayalam on the next Saturday 21.5 at 3 pm.

There will be no children school on the next Sunday.

There will be Mass in Karjaa, in St. Catharine church on Saturday 14.5 at 2 pm.

There will be Mass in Hungarian on the next Saturday 14.5 at 4 pm in St. Henry’s Cathedral.

Mass in German will be celebrated on the next Sunday 15.5 at 2.30 pm.

The diocesan administrator Fr. Marco Pasinato has announced that the epidemical restrictions have come to an end in the Diocese of Helsinki. Parishes return to their normal practices in their activities. However, it is recommended to maintain good hand and cough hygiene and to avoid coming to church if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or some other easily transmissible disease. From now on, the obligation to attend Mass in person on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation is in force again.

We will celebrate the commemoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the next Friday 6.5. The adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will start after the evening Mass and will last till midnight.

There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the next Saturday at 3.30 pm as the continuation of the “Encounter with Jesus” program.

Children’s First Communion in Finnish will be celebrated on the next Sunday 8.5 at 10 am.

The plenary indulgence is granted (under the usual conditions of a sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and a prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) to the faithful who, on Divine Mercy Sunday, in a spirit that is completely detached from the affection for a sin, even a venial sin, recite the Our Father and the Creed, and also adding a devout prayer (e.g. Merciful Jesus, I trust in you!).

The fundraising for the poor during the Lent brought nearly 900 Euros and the collection on the Palm Sunday 1900 Euros. Many thanks for your donations.

Two bazaars for the victims of the war in Ukraine have raised 3077 Euros. 75 boxes of supplies were sent. We thank the organizers and participants of the bazaars. The money has been sent to the community of the Sisters of Jerusalem in Warsaw.

There will be Mass in Vietnamese on the next Saturday 30.4 at 12.00.

We thank all those who took part in the preparation and the celebration of the Holy Week liturgy. We thank our sacristans, our organist and our choir for wonderful music, altar servers, those who set the flowers in the church and in the parish hall. May God bless you.

There will be an Ecumenical prayer for peace in Ukraine and in the whole world on the Easter Monday at 12.00 at the Senate Square in Helsinki.

There will be an Easter liturgy in Ukrainian on the next Saturday 23.4 at 12.30 pm.

There will be Mass in Hungarian on the next Saturday at 4 pm.

There will be Mass in Hyvinkää, in the Old church, on the next Saturday at 4 pm.

The Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated on the 24th of April. We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on the next Sunday, 24.4 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be the Holy Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30 am.
