The new Corona restrictions take effect in both Catholic parishes in Helsinki area. Holy Mass and other events can only be attended by registering in advance and in accordance with the hygiene regulations for a maximum of 20 people. The use of a face mask is mandatory. Meetings for children and youth continue in groups of less than 20 people. It is important not to attend events if you have any symptoms of an infection or if you have recently been in contact with a person exposed to the virus. These additional restrictions apply in St. Henry’s Cathedral Parish and St. Mary’s Parish from November 23 to December 13, 2020. However, churches are normally open for personal prayer.
The commemoration of St. Cecilia is traditionally celebrated on the 22nd of November. St. Cecilia is a patron saint of the church music. We thank all musicians and choirs for their service in our church.
We invite all children to a rehearsal of the Christmas play on Sunday 29th of November and 13th of December after the Mass at 11.30.
A Tridentine Mass in Latin will be celebrated in St. Catharine church in Karjaa on the next Wednesday 25th of November at 7 pm.
There will be the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the next Saturday, 28.11, from 3.30 pm till 5 pm as the continuation of the “Encounter with Jesus” program.
Welcome to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Saturday, December 5, from 1 pm to 5 pm. The event will include the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reparation prayers and the Holy Rosary, as well as a short reflection. Coffee will be offered outside the Church, depending on the weather.
