Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2022!

Stickers and prayers for the yearly home blessing are available in the porch. At the beginning pray together the Our Father and Hail Mary prayer, one reads the prayer of blessing and fixes the sticker. Donation for a sticker is 2 Euros to support the missionary work of the church.

We will thank God for this passing year on the next Friday, 31.12, during the Mass at 6 pm.

The solemnity of Mary, Mather of God we will celebrate on the next Saturday as the beginning of the New Year. There will be the Holy Mass at 10 am in Finnish, Mass for children in Finnish at 11.30, Mass in English at 1 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

The Mass in Swedish will be celebrated on the next Sunday at 11.30 am.

The Mass in Espoo, in Olari chapel will be celebrated on the next Sunday, 2.1 at 4 pm.

A marriage course will be organized for those who plan to get marry next year. The course will begin on the 11th of January 2022 in the parish hall of St. Henry’s cathedral at 7 pm.

It is important during the time of Advent that everyone dedicates more time to prayer and reading the Bible. We encourage all parishioners to attend the sacrament of confession before Christmas.

Caritas Finland’s Advent Collection supports transport for children to and from school in Lebanon. You can donate via Caritas web page www.caritas.fi, directly to Caritas bank account or to the donation box in the church.

On the next Friday, 24.12, the Christmas Eve –we will celebrate Mass for children in Finnish at 2 pm. All children who would like to participate as angles and shepherds in this Holy Mass please come to the parish hall at 1 pm. There will be Mass in Tagalog at 4 pm, the Christmas Eve Mass at midnight, half an hour before midnight we will sing Carols.

On the Christmas day there will be the Bishop’s Mass in Finnish at 12, Mass in English at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

The Holy Family feast will be celebrated on the next Sunday 26.12.

We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on the next Sunday, 26.12 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30.

A payment card reader is introduced in our church. It is now possible to pay the collection or candle fee by debit card or by contactless payment. The payment can be made in the parish hall after the Mass.

The commemoration of St. Lucy will be celebrated on Monday 13.12.

The parish council will gather on Wednesday 15.12 after the evening Mass.

The Christmas Novena Masses in Tagalog will begin on the next Wednesday at 7.30 pm.

A Tridentine Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 18.12 at 7.30 am.

There will be Mass in Hungarian on Saturday 18.12 at 4 pm.

There will be Mass in Hyvinkää, in the Old church on the next Saturday 18.12 at 4 pm.

We will celebrate Finland’s Independence Day and the anniversary of the dedication of our church on the next Monday, 6th of December. There will be Mass in Finnish at 10 am and 6 pm.

The solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Wednesday, 8.12. There will be Mass at 8 am and 6 pm.

There will be Mass in Karjaa, in St. Catharine church on the next Saturday, 11.12, at 2 pm.

We invite all children to a rehearsal of the Christmas play on the next Sunday 12th of December after the Mass at 11.30.
