This Tuesday, the feast of St. Olaf, martyr and patron of Norway, is celebrated throughout the Nordic countries. Mass in Finnish at 18:00.

On Tuesday, the English-speaking lectio divina Bible group will meet after the evening Mass at 18:45.

On Thursday, the praesidium of Legion of Mary will meet as usual after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

On Friday, August 1, there will be a long adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus after the evening Mass until 22:00.

The diocesan feast will take place this year in Lohja on Saturday 16.8.2025 at 11 am. The program after the mass in St. Lawrence Church will be in Vivamo (Vivamontie 2, 08200 Lohja). On the occasion of the Mass, Bishop Raimo will ordain the diocesan candidate for priesthood, Vietnamese-born deacon Chien Nguyen. Our parish will arrange a bus trip: the bus departs at 9:30 from in front of the church and the journey back from Vivamo starts at 15:30. Price: €30. If your child in third grade or older has not yet received First Communion, please register him/her for First Communion Preparatory Class. Classes will begin in September and will be held once a month on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM until First Communion. Registration at the parish office (tel. +358 50 434 4260 or maria@katolinen.fi). The classes will be organized both in Finnish and in English. The Finnish teaching dates are: 13.9.2025, 11.10.2025, 8.11.2025, 13.12.2025, 10.1.2026, 14.2.2026, 14.3.2026, 11.4.2026, 2.5.2026. The English teaching dates will be announced later.

We kindly ask all parents of eighth graders (or older youth) to register their child for the confirmation course. All older youth who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation are also welcome to join the course. Classes will begin in September and will be held once a month on Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM until the celebration of Confirmation in the autumn (there will be a break during the summer). During the renovation of the church facade, please pay attention to safety in the vicinity of the construction site. The renovation will cost €210,000, which is a major financial undertaking for the parish.
