Pope Francis has invited the whole Catholic Church to discuss the synodality of the Church, a crucial issue for the life and mission of the Church. We ask that the groups in our parish discuss the synodal issues at their meetings and submit their responses to the parish office.

In November we pray especially for the faithful departed. Everyone is invited to write and send to us names of your departed relatives and friends by email: maria(ät)katolinen.fi. We will read these names in November during adorations and pray for them.

Those who will visit a graveyard and pray for the faithful departed during November can receive a plenary indulgence for the departed under the general conditions.

There will be Mass in Hyvinkää on the next Saturday 20.11 at 4 pm in the Old Church (Vanha kirkko).

Those who will visit a graveyard and pray for the faithful departed during November can receive a plenary indulgence for the departed under the general conditions. In order to obtain it, the faithful must, in addition to being in the state of grace: have the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin; have sacramentally confessed their sins; receive the Holy Eucharist; pray for the intentions of the Pope.

There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the next Friday 5.11 in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The adoration will start after the evening Mass and will last till midnight.

There will be a prayer for the faithful departed on the All souls day, which is on the next Saturday, 6.11 at 1 pm at the Catholic quarter of the Malmi graveyard number 57k.

The All Saints solemnity will be celebrated on the next Sunday, 7.11.

There will be Mass in Espoo, in the Olari chapel, on the next Sunday at 4 pm.

The preparation to the Synod on the parish level begins on Sunday, the 17th of October 2021. We ask all who would like to participate in this preparation to contact the parish office.

We celebrate today the world mission day. We pray for missionary work of the Church and we have a collection for the missions.

October is a month dedicated to the Rosary prayer. We pray together the Rosary before the English Mass at 5.30 pm. We encourage to pray the Rosary in our church after the evening Holy Mass on weekdays and to pray the Rosary at home especially with your families.

The feast of saint evangelist Luke will be celebrated on Monday 18.10.

The Holy Mass will be celebrated in Hyvinkää on the next Saturday (23.10) in Vanha kirkko (the Old church) at 4 pm.

We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on the next Sunday, 24.10 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30.

There is no more restrictions on gathering. We encourage parishioners to attend the Holy Mass on site at the church. The Holy Mass and other events can be attended only in good health and with good hand hygiene. The use of a face mask is strongly recommended.

The commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi will be celebrated on Monday 4.10.

The feast of Saint Bridget, Patron Saint of Europe will be celebrated on Thursday 7.10.

The memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary will be celebrated on Friday 8.10.

There will be Mass in Karjaa, in St. Catherine church on the next Saturday 9.10 at 2 pm.
