We thank the parishioners, who helped last Friday and Saturday cleaning the church, building the crib and decorating the Christmas trees.

On the next Thursday, 24.12, the Christmas Eve –we will celebrate Mass for children in Finnish at 2 pm. The Christmas Eve Mass at midnight.

On the Christmas day there will be Mass in Finnish at 10 am, the Bishop’s Mass in Finnish at 12, Mass in English at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

A marriage course will be organized for those who plan to get marry next year. The course will begin on the 12th of January 2021 in the parish hall of St. Henry’s cathedral at 7 pm.

The Holy Mass in Hyvinkää scheduled on the 26th of December has been cancelled.

The feast of Apostle Andrew will be celebrated on Monday 30.11.

We will celebrate the commemoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday 4.12. The adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will start after the evening Mass and will last till midnight.

We will celebrate Finland’s Independence Day and the anniversary of the dedication of our church on the next Sunday, 6th of December. Bishop emeritus Teemu Sippo SCJ will celebrate Mass at 10 am.

Welcome to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the next Saturday, December 5, from 1 pm to 5 pm. The event will include the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reparation prayers and the Holy Rosary, as well as a short reflection.

The new Corona restrictions take effect in both Catholic parishes in Helsinki area. Holy Mass and other events can only be attended by registering in advance and in accordance with the hygiene regulations for a maximum of 20 people. The use of a face mask is mandatory. Meetings for children and youth continue in groups of less than 20 people. It is important not to attend events if you have any symptoms of an infection or if you have recently been in contact with a person exposed to the virus. These additional restrictions apply in St. Henry’s Cathedral Parish and St. Mary’s Parish from November 23 to December 13, 2020. However, churches are normally open for personal prayer.

The commemoration of St. Cecilia is traditionally celebrated on the 22nd of November. St. Cecilia is a patron saint of the church music. We thank all musicians and choirs for their service in our church.

We invite all children to a rehearsal of the Christmas play on Sunday 29th of November and 13th of December after the Mass at 11.30.

A Tridentine Mass in Latin will be celebrated in St. Catharine church in Karjaa on the next Wednesday 25th of November at 7 pm.
