We continue to celebrate public Masses in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities that there can be no more than 10 persons in the church at a time, taking into account safety distances and hygiene.

From the beginning of June there can be no more than 70 persons in the church.

It is possible to make an online reservation of a place in the church at the Mass. There is a link on the website of our parish “Registration for the Mass” where parishioners can choose the time of the Mass and the amount of places. The confirmation of the reservation will be checked in the church if needed.

Everyone who comes to the Church must take great care of his or her own hand and other hygiene and observe caution and distance during receiving the Holy Communion.

From the beginning of June, church wardens will be needed for each Mass. A warden ensures that only pre-registered faithful enter the Mass, collects collections when people leave the church, and cleans surfaces in the church before the Mass. We ask willing parishioners to contact the parish office.

Not entering the church in the normal way is not an exemption from giving time to God.

Pope Francis’ prayer for protection from Coronavirus

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign
of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself,
and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test
– and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

We thank all those who took part in the preparation of the Holy Week liturgy. We thank our sacristans, our organist and our choir for wonderful music, altar servers, those who set the flowers in the church. May God bless you.

The next week belongs to the Easter Octave. There will be on Monday Mass in Finnish at 10 am and Mass in English at 6 pm.

On the 19th of April we will celebrate the Divine Mercy Sunday.

We wish you a blessed time of Easter!
