The Holy Mass in English mostly attended by Catholics from Africa will be celebrated from now on Sundays at 1 pm. The Holy Mass in Tagalog will be celebrated at 2.30 pm on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.

Stickers and prayers for the yearly home blessing are available in the porch. At the beginning pray together the Our Father and Hail Mary prayer, one reads the prayer of blessing and fixes the sticker. Donation for a sticker is 2 Euros to support the missionary work of the church.

A marriage course will be organized for those who plan to get marry next year. The course will begin on Tuesday, the 8th of January 2019 in the parish hall of St. Henry’s cathedral at 7 pm.

Caritas’ advent fundraising has brought in 840 Euros.

The solemnity of Mary, Mather of God we will celebrate on the next Tuesday as the beginning of the New Year. There is the Holy Mass at 12 in Finnish, Mass in English at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm. All Catholics are obliged to attend the Holy Mass.

The Epiphany of the Lord solemnity we will celebrate on the next Sunday.

During the Advent we support those in need. The Advent Collection 2018 of Caritas Finland supports young girls’ life skills and empowerment in high schools in the Philippines. We can send our donations directly to the bank account of Caritas or we can put our donations into the collection box at the back of the church on your right

It is very important that every Catholic will attend the sacrament of confession before Christmas. There will be an opportunity for confession on Monday from 1 pm and half an hour before the midnight Mass.

On the next Monday, 24.12, the Christmas Eve –we will celebrate Mass in Finnish for children at 2 pm. All children who would like to participate as angles and shepherds in this Holy Mass please come to the parish hall at 1 pm. Mass in Tagalog at 4 pm. The Christmas Eve Mass at midnight, half an hour before the Mass we will sing carols.

On the Christmas day the Bishop’s Mass in Finnish at 12, Mass in English for Catholics from Africa at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

There will be Mass in English on Wednesday, St. Stephen feast, at 6 pm.

An extremely contagious illness called measles has been diagnosed in two adults in Tampere. Both patients were infected at the Mass at Holy Cross Church on the 25th of November 2018. If someone does not have protection against measles because has not received the MMR vaccine or has not had measles before, please call your local health center to receive the MMR vaccine.
