The Catholic bishops of the Nordic countries have launched an emergency appeal for Lebanon. Caritas Finland’s collection will remain open until the end of June. Lebanon is living in constant uncertainty under the shadow of war, and the plight of the civilian population is immense. Due to the state of war, people are experiencing fear and insecurity. Let us help them by donating directly to Caritas or to the collection box in the church.
There will be a Bible sharing group on Tuesday 26.5. after the evening Mass in the parish hall.
We warmly invite parents and their children (ages 0–5) to the family club’s meeting on Thursday, May 28th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the parish hall. Welcome along to spend a fun morning together with other families!
The Legion of Mary group meets every Thursday in the parish hall after the evening Mass.
The charismatic prayer group will gather on Fridays after the evening Mass in the parish hall.
A Catholic charismatic afternoon will be held in our church on Saturday, 30 May, from 1 to 7 pm. The programme includes praise and worship, adoration, teaching, personal prayer ministry and Holy Mass, with Sebastian Sales, a full-time missionary from the UK (AFCM UK), as our guest speaker. Mary’s Parish youth summer camp will be held Wed 3 – Sun 7 June 2026 at Leirikartano in Sastamala (by Lake Houhajärvi). The camp is for young people aged 14–19. The programme includes games, outdoor activities, campfire evenings, teaching, prayer and Mass — a wonderful opportunity to meet other young Catholics and grow in faith! The traditional pilgrimage to the martyrdom site of Bishop Henry, the patron saint of Finland, will be held this year as a four-day walk from Turku to Köyliö. Following a medieval route from June 11th–14th, the journey culminates in a Holy Mass at Kirkkokari in Köyliö. More information can be found on the notice board.
There will be a summer day camp for boys ages 10-15 in St. James church from 24th of June till 24th of July.
