Bishop Raimo Goyarrola will perform a canonical visitation in our parish on the 21st and 22nd of February. Let us remember in our prayers this event. If needed we will organise an opportunity to meet personally the bishop. Please contact the parish office.
The memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes and the World Day of the Sick will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11th of February. Sick parishioners can receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at the 6 pm Mass. They need to inform the parish office in advance. It is also possible to receive the sacrament at home. Anointing of the Sick is for those who, for example, are undergoing a difficult operation, suffering from a chronic illness or weakness due to old age.
The praesidium of the Legion of Mary gathers every Thursday after the evening Mass in the parish hall.
The charismatic prayer group will gather on Friday 13.2. after the evening Mass in the parish hall.
The First Communion classes in Finnish will continue on Saturday 14.2. at 10.00 and Confirmation classes in Finnish at 3 pm in the parish hall.
There will be a meeting for teenagers on Saturday 14.2. at 6 pm in the parish hall.
Dear parishioners, Membership fees are our parish’s most important source of income and enable us to hold activities and events. However, many people still do not pay their membership fees regularly. On the diocesan website you will find a membership fee calculator, which you can easily use to check the amount of your own membership fee. You will also find clear instructions on how to pay. A warm thank you to all of you who already take care of your membership fees and support our parish and Church in this important way. Every payment is valuable and helps us continue our work for the benefit of the community. If, for financial reasons, you are unable to pay the parish membership fee, you may of course ask the parish priest for an exemption from the payment.
You can bring to the church palm branches which were blessed last year on the Palm Sunday.
