Those who will visit a graveyard and pray for the faithful departed from the 1st until the 8th of November can receive a plenary indulgence for the departed under the general conditions. In order to obtain it, the faithful must, in addition to being in the state of grace: have the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin; have sacramentally confessed their sins; receive the Holy Eucharist; pray for the intentions of the Pope.

In November, we especially pray for the dead. You can send the names of your departed loved ones to the parish email address maria(ät)katolinen.fi and we will pray for them during adorations.

There will be a Catechism class for adults on Tuesday 3.11. after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

A concert of traditional Polish funeral songs will take place on Tuesday 3^rd of November at 7 pm.

There will be no confession nor adoration on Wednesday 4.11. before the evening Mass.

The first Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There will be Adoration after the evening Mass until 10.00 pm.

Mass in Hyvinkää will be celebrated on Saturday 7^th of November at 4.00 pm in the Old Church (Vanha kirkko).

Next Saturday, from 2 pm to 8 pm there will be a continuous prayer in our parish, led by our parish’s charismatic prayer group, Hearts on Fire, as part of the Helsinki-wide 24/7 prayer week. It begins and ends with adoration in the church. You are warmly invited to come for the whole afternoon, or just pop in for a shorter moment of prayer. Let us pray together for Finland and for the unity of all Christians.

The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary prayer. Welcome to pray together the Rosary on Sundays at 5.30 pm. We encourage all of you to pray Rosary also at home especially together with your family.

The First Communion and Confirmation classes in English begin on the 26.9. at 10.00 am.

Bishop Emeritus Teemu Sippo will celebrate the evening Mass on Saturday, September 26 at 6:00 PM and receive new members into the communion of the Church.

Bishop Emeritus Teemu will also celebrate the main Mass on Sunday, September 27 at 10:00 AM and administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to the youth. Due to the Confirmation Mass, the children’s Mass will exceptionally begin at 12:00 PM.

A Sunday school in Finnish for 5 till 8 years old children will take place on Sunday 20.9. at 10 am in the parish hall.

The Catholic charismatic encounter “My Words Are Spirit and Life” takes place here at St. Mary’s on Saturday 3 October from 1 pm. The programme includes praise, teaching on hearing God’s voice, peaceful adoration, and Mass at 6 pm. Registration link is on the parish website — everyone is warmly welcome.
