A marriage course will be organized for those who plan to get marry next year. The course will begin on the 8th of January 2019 in the parish hall of St. Henry’s cathedral at 7 pm.
There will be a rehearsal of Christmas play for children on the 1st of December at 4 pm.
Mass in Malayalam language will be celebrated on the next Saturday, 1.12 at 10.30 am.

St. Cecilia’s commemoration will be celebrated on Thursday, 22th of November. We pray for our organists, choir members at the Mass at 6 pm. There will be a music concert to the honor of St. Cecilia after the Mass. Hannu Vasara will present violin solo music pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Every Catholic above 18 years of age has the obligation to pay 1,5% of his or her taxable income to the membership fee bank account of his or her own parish. Obviously, one does not need to pay, at least the full amount, if under grave economic hardship. The recommended method of payment is a monthly automatic transfer to the membership fee account of the parish. The reference number for the membership fee is 90010.

Those who will visit a graveyard and pray for the faithful departed from the 1st until the 8th of November can receive a plenary indulgence for the departed under the general conditions. In order to obtain it, the faithful must, in addition to being in the state of grace: have the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin; have sacramentally confessed their sins; receive the Holy Eucharist; pray for the intentions of the Pope.
In November we will pray especially for all the faithful departed. Everyone is invited to write and send to us the names of your departed relatives and friends by email scj.helsinki@gmail.com. We will read these names in November during adoration and pray for them.
We pray the Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help on Wednesdays after the evening Mass. You can write your prayers and intercessions and drop them into a slot in the porch of the church.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo together with bishop Teemu Sippo SCJ will celebrate Holy Mass in our church on the next Sunday, 28th of October at 12.45.
The Holy Mass in Hungarian will be celebrated in St. Henry’s cathedral on the next Saturday, 27th of October at 2.30 pm.
