The Finnish Ecumenical Council needs our financial support; we can put our donations into a box at the back of the church on your right during the week of prayers.

The feast of St. Henry, patron saint of our diocese and Finland, will be celebrated on Thursday 19th of January. There will be Mass in English at 8 am and Mass in Finnish at 6 pm.

There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with prayers in English exclusively for the Catholic priests in Finland on Saturday 21st of January from 3.30 till 5 pm. Details on the bulletin board.

There will be Mass in Hyvinkää on Saturday 21.1 at 4 pm in the Old church.

A Tridentine Mass in Latin will be celebrated on Friday 20.1 at 7.30 pm and on Saturday 21.1 at 7.30 am.

There will be Mass in Vietnamese on Saturday 21.1 at 7.30 pm to pray for God’s blessings in the New Year.

We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on Sunday, 22.1 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be the Holy Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30 am.

Fr. Martti Savijoki SCJ begins his service as a new chaplain in our parish. We welcome him warmly and pray that God may bestow on him abundant blessing.

Stickers and prayers for the yearly home blessing are available in the porch. At the beginning pray together the Our Father and Hail Mary prayer, one reads the prayer of blessing and fixes the sticker. Donation for a sticker is 2 Euros to support the missionary work of the church.

Father Zenon Strykowksi SCJ celebrates his farewell Holy Mass as a chaplain in our parish on Sunday 1.1 at 10 am and he will return to Poland on Wednesday 4.1. Fr. Zenon has worked three years in our parish and 23 years in Finland. We thank him for his pastoral work and wish him abundant God’s blessing in his new assignments in his homeland.

We thank parishioners, who helped last Saturday cleaning in the church, building the crib and cleaning the parish hall.

It is important that every Catholic attends the sacrament of penance before Christmas.

During the Advent we support those in need. Caritas Finland’s Advent Collection supports farmers in Congo. We can donate via Caritas web page caritas.fi, directly to Caritas bank account, via Mobile pay or to the donation box in the church.

On the next Saturday 24.12: There will be a morning Mass at 10 am, the Christmas Eve Mass in Finnish for children in Finnish at 2 pm. All children who would like to participate as angles and shepherds in this Holy Mass please come to the parish hall at 1 pm. There will be Mass in Tagalog at 4 pm, the Christmas Eve Mass at midnight, half an hour before midnight we will sing Carols.

On the Christmas day there will be the Bishop’s Mass in Finnish at 12, Mass in English at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.
