The solemnity of the Saints Peter and Paul is celebrated on Monday, June 29th and the Feast of Saint Apostle Thomas on Friday, July 3rd.

We celebrate the Eucharist according to the summer schedule until August 15th:

  • On weekdays, normally only the evening Mass at 6:00 PM is celebrated
    • Mon, Wed, Fri – in Finnish
    • Tue and Thu – in English
  • There will be no 10:00 AM Mass on Saturday
  • There will be no Children’s Mass on Sunday

On weekdays, Lauds (Morning Prayer) is prayed at 7:30 AM in English.

This Wednesday there will be an ecumenical outing for young adults to Mustasaari together with the young adults of Töölö Lutheran Parish at 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The youth will meet at the Taivallahti pier at 5:30 PM. Registrations and any food restrictions/allergy information should be directed to birgitta.hamalainen@evl.fi. The program includes Taizé prayer, grilling, swimming, and sauna, among other things.

The Lay Dehonians’ group will meet this Thursday after the evening Mass in the parish hall.
The Legion of Mary group meets on Thursdays after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

The parish charismatic prayer group Hearts on Fire meets on Friday evening after Mass in the parish hall.

The pastor, Father Rafal, is on vacation until July 7. Father Martti is on vacation July 8–22 and July 25–August 13.

  1. The Eucharist is celebrated according to the summer schedule until August 15:

  2. There will be no Saturday 10:00 AM Mass
  3. There will be no Sunday children’s Mas

  7. We aim to hold parish coffee after the main Mass during the summer as well. At least June 14, June 28, and July 5 are being arranged. If you would like to take a coffee-serving turn this summer, please sign up on the list on the noticeboard.

Masses will be celebrated according to the summer schedule from Monday, June 8th until August 15th: on weekdays, there will be only an evening Mass at 6 pm—in Finnish on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and in English on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be no children’s Mass on Sundays.

The Legion of Mary group meets on Thursdays after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

On the eve of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thursday, June 11th, an all-night Adoration will begin. We kindly ask those who would pray throughout the night to sign their names on the list on the notice board.

The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is on Friday, June 12th. Mass will be at 7:30 in English and at 6 pm in Finnish.

The Catholic bishops of the Nordic countries have launched an emergency appeal for Lebanon. Caritas Finland’s collection will remain open until the end of June. Lebanon is living in constant uncertainty under the shadow of war, and the plight of the civilian population is immense. Due to the state of war, people are experiencing fear and insecurity. Let us help them by donating directly to Caritas or to the collection box in the church.

A novena preparing for the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus begins on Wednesday, June 3rd. On weekdays, the novena is prayed after the evening Mass; on Saturday and Sunday, it is prayed after the 10:00 AM Mass. On the eve of the Feast of the Sacred Heart, an all-night adoration will begin. We invite volunteers to keep vigil especially during the night. We ask those who are interested to sign their names on the list on the notice board.

Mary’s Parish youth summer camp will be held Wed 3 – Sun 7 June 2026 at Leirikartano in Sastamala (by Lake Houhajärvi). The camp is for young people aged 14–19. The programme includes games, outdoor activities, campfire evenings, teaching, prayer and Mass — a wonderful opportunity to meet other young Catholics and grow in faith! The Legion of Mary group meets every Thursday in the parish hall after the evening Mass.

There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday 5.6. in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The adoration will start after the evening Mass and will last till 10 pm.

The solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ will be celebrated on Sunday 7.6. There will be an Eucharistic procession after the 10 am Mass. The procession will go through Mäntytie to the English school, then Kuustie to the Valpurin park (Valpurinpuisto) and will return to the church through the Tukholmankatu. There will be no Mass at 11.30.

We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on Sunday 7.6. at 10 am in the parish hall.

The traditional pilgrimage to the martyrdom site of Bishop Henry, the patron saint of Finland, will be held this year as a four-day walk from Turku to Köyliö. Following a medieval route from June 11th–14th, the journey culminates in a Holy Mass at Kirkkokari in Köyliö. More information can be found on the notice board.

There will be a Bible sharing group on Tuesday 26.5. after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

We warmly invite parents and their children (ages 0–5) to the family club’s meeting on Thursday, May 28th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the parish hall. Welcome along to spend a fun morning together with other families!

A Catholic charismatic afternoon will be held in our church on Saturday, 30 May, from 1 to 7 pm. The programme includes praise and worship, adoration, teaching, personal prayer ministry and Holy Mass, with Sebastian Sales, a full-time missionary from the UK (AFCM UK), as our guest speaker.
