Kick-off Meeting for the Hyvinkää Catholic Diaspora

You’re warmly welcome to join us as we start building the Catholic diaspora community in Hyvinkää!

We hope to develop our local Catholic life so that, alongside the monthly Masses, we could have more regular activities — such as small groups, Bible studies, liturgies of the Word, or prayer of the hours.

If you’d like to be part of shaping or participating in this community, join us for this kick-off meeting.

Time: November 1, 4-5:30 pm

In November, we especially pray for the dead. You can send the names of your departed loved ones to the parish email address maria(ät)katolinen.fi so that we may pray for them during adorations.

There will be a Bible sharing meeting on Tuesday 28.10. after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

The praesidium of the Legion of Mary gathers every Thursday after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

Charismatic prayer evenings open to all will continue on Fridays in our parish after evening mass.

On Saturday 1.11. we celebrate the All Souls’ Day. Mass in Finnish for the departed will be celebrated in our church at 10 a.m. We also welcome you to a prayer for the departed at Malmi Cemetery (block 57K) at 1 p.m.

On Saturday there will be a youth meeting for teenagers at 6 pm in the parish hall. Both English and Finnish speaking youth can attend.

There will be Mass in Vietnamese on Friday at 3.30 pm, Saturday 3 pm and on Sunday at 8 am.

Our parish will host Back to Pentecost – Return to the Roots of Pentecost, a Catholic charismatic afternoon on Saturday, November 29. The program includes worship, prayer, teaching, and prayer ministry. Both Finnish and English will be used at the event. Read more and sign up here!

  1. October is the month of the Rosary. On Sundays, we pray the Rosary together in the church before the English Mass at 5:30 a.m. We also encourage everyone to pray the Rosary on weekdays after the evening Mass in the church, as well as at home—especially together as a family.
  2. In November, we especially pray for the dead. You can send the names of your departed loved ones to the parish email address maria@katolinen.fi so that we may pray for them during the times of adoration.
  3. On Tuesday 21.10., there is Catechism class for adults after the evening mass in the parish hall.
  4. The praesidium of the Legion of Mary gathers every Thursday after the evening Mass in the parish hall. The Legion of Mary s a lay catholic organisation whose members are giving service to the Church on a voluntary basis in almost every country.
  5. The renovation of the church facade has been completed. We thank all those parishioners who have already helped. More aid is needed. Week 42 – announcements

October is a month dedicated to the Rosary prayer. We pray together the Rosary before the English Mass at 5:30 pm. We encourage to pray the Rosary in our church after the evening Holy Mass on weekdays and to pray the Rosary at home especially with your families.

The renovation of the church facade has been completed. The fundraising for the renovation brought up to now 30 000 Euros. We thank all those parishioners who have already helped. There will be a Mass in Hyvinkää on Saturday, 18th of October at 4 pm in the Old Church (Vanha kirkko).

Youth Evening will be held on Saturday at 6 pm in the parish hall.
