There will be morning Masses at 7.30 am during the next week. Mass on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be in Finnish, on Tuesday and Thursday in English.
The open doors event and concert were a great success. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped prepare and carry out these events.
Our parish’s financial situation is poor due to the renovation of the church facade. We ask all parishioners to support our parish financially. Our goal is to raise €150,000 by the end of October. The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Monday, September 8.
The praesidium of the Legion of Mary gathers every Thursday in the parish hall after the evening Mass.
A Life in the Spirit Seminar begins on Friday, September 12, after the evening Mass in the parish hall. The purpose of these seven sessions is to encounter the Holy Spirit in a new way and to be strengthened in faith. The course is free of charge. Registration is through the link available on the website.
The First Communion class in Finnish begins on Saturday 13.9. at 10 am in the church. The English teaching begins on the 20.9. at 10.30.
The Confirmation class in Finnish begins on Saturday 13.9. at 3 pm in the parish hall. The English teaching begins on the 27.9. at 10.30.
The youth evenings for teenagers of our parish are starting again. The first youth evening will be next Saturday, September 13, from 6 to 8 PM in the parish hall. The youth evenings are also for 13–19-year-olds who are interested in joining the Catholic Church. From September until the end of January, we will be using the Youth Alpha material. The upcoming youth evening dates are: Sept 13, Sept 27 (at 7 PM), Oct 4, Oct 18, Nov 1, Nov 15, Nov 22, Dec 13, Dec 20 (Christmas party), Jan 10, Jan 24, Jan 31.
A Sunday school in Finnish for 5 till 8 years old children will take place on Sunday 14.9. at 10 am in the parish hall.
On Saturday, September 13, a traditional pilgrimage will be held to the medieval church in Hattula in honor of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. There will be a walk of 8.5 kilometers on foot from the Hämeenlinna railway station. You can also take a direct bus from Helsinki to the church.
