Stickers and prayers for the yearly home blessing are available in the porch. At the beginning pray together the Our Father and Hail Mary prayer, one reads the prayer of blessing and fixes the sticker. Donation for a sticker is 2 Euros to support the missionary work of the church.

The feast of St. Stephen will be celebrated on Monday 26.12. There will be Mass in Finnish at 10 am and Mass in English at 6 pm.

The Holy Family feast will be celebrated on Friday 30.12. There will be Mass in Finnish at 8 am and 6 pm.

We will thank God for this passing year on the next Saturday 31.12 during the Mass at 6 pm.

The solemnity of Mary, Mother of God we will celebrate on the next Sunday as the beginning of the New Year. There will be the Holy Mass at 10 am in Finnish, Mass in Swedish at 11.30, Mass in Vietnamese at 1 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

We thank parishioners, who helped last Saturday cleaning in the church, building the crib and cleaning the parish hall.

It is important that every Catholic attends the sacrament of penance before Christmas.

On the next Saturday 24.12: There will be a morning Mass at 10 am, the Christmas Eve Mass in Finnish for children in Finnish at 2 pm. All children who would like to participate as angles and shepherds in this Holy Mass please come to the parish hall at 1 pm. There will be Mass in Tagalog at 4 pm, the Christmas Eve Mass at midnight, half an hour before midnight we will sing Carols.

On the Christmas day there will be the Bishop’s Mass in Finnish at 12, Mass in English at 2 pm, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm.

The feast of the dedication of our church and the Finnish Independence Day will be celebrated on Tuesday 6.12. The Holy Mass will begin at 10 am. The Cantores Minores Alumni choir will sing during the Mass. There will be no evening Mass on Tuesday.

We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place exceptionally on the next Sunday, 11.12 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be the Holy Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30 am.

We invite all children to a rehearsal of the Christmas play on the next Sunday 11.12 after the Mass for children about 12.30 in the church. The last rehearsal will take place on the Christmas Eve at 1 pm. There is a list of roles on the information board. Parents can ask children about their favourite roles and write their names on the list.

Elders and home-bound persons can ask a priest to visit them at home and to bring the Holy Communion. Contact our parish office.

Twelve parishioners have enrolled as candidates to the new parish council. The election board has decided to nominate all candidates to the parish council. Because one candidate has withdrawn his candidacy, eleven candidates have been nominated to the new parish council. They are: Kaj Glantz, Eeva Hämäläinen, Jipson Paul Kolenchery, Heikki Kymäläinen, Anne Kärnä, Tea Laurila, Pham Chau My, Heikki Saastamoinen, Sara Torvalds, Leo Virtanen, Siyan Zhuang. We congratulate the members of the new parish council.

There will be changes among the priests working in our parish. Fr. Zenon Strykowksi SCJ will leave Finland and return to his homeland at the beginning of January 2023. Fr. Martti Savijoki SCJ will come to work in our parish as a parochial vicar. Fr. Zenon will celebrate his farewell Mass on the first of January 2023 at 10 am. Fr. Martti will celebrate his first Mass on the 8th of January 2023 at 10 am. We wish them abundant God’s blessing in their new tasks.

We will celebrate the commemoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, 2.12. There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament also after the evening Mass that will last till midnight.

There will be a Tridentine Mass on Saturday 3.12 at 7.30 am.

The Legion of Mary organises a procession in honour of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday 3.12 at 5 pm. The procession will begin at St. Mary’s church and will return to the church before the evening Mass.
